Usually I start a little project-- it quickly mushrooms into redoing a room! So I've learned to ignore the impulse unless I really HAVE to do it. Scraps-- I throw them away. I know-- it's sacriligeous here to do that, but honestly I have more than enough fabric uncut and the scraps I will never use.

Oh my goodness I can't imagine throwing scraps away as you can see. I don't need them but I bet plenty on here would buy them or at least pay postage with the price of fabric.

I'm enjoying organizing my fabric and admiring it while I press it. I have sooo many little scraps that I'm organizing by size & color in different baskets. It's a trip down memory lane :)

I put scraps to wash in a pillow case. rubberband it or tie it in a tight knot and then they don't come out all wadded up. But have fun ironing.

I don't have an answer for you, but I do know that your doggy helper already looks discouraged.
