I saw the challenge about finishing UFO's. For me this is
a UFO finished. My mom started the blocks years ago.
She now has dementia and has trouble putting things together but can still hand quilt. So I am trying to get her
UFO's done so she can hand quilt them. We had to finish up a few blocks. She had lost the pattern so I just had to do the best I could to finish them and when it came time to strip them together I found that none of the blocks seemed to be the same size. They needed some border adjustments. It took several days to adjust all the borders and strip them together but finally finished yesterday.
Hooray! Will sandwich it all together this week and she will be on her way to hand quilting. I just had to share.

What a beautiful quilt--and such a touching story.

And I love how each house has a different block in it.
