I've seen that many times but most recently on Eleanor Burns' Quilt In A Day. She called it a "Fence Rail."

I have a pattern for a basket weave and it has more strips sewn together. A few yr.s ago I made three and just made them up as I went. Basket weave has more strips and bigger than this one.
