So I was out yesterday and once a month or so I stop by the local Thrift Stores and I ran accross this 1430 Kenmore, It had the manual, case, and the button hole attachments. So I call my mom and ask if $15.00 would be worth it? My left ear is still ringing, so I brought her home cleaned it up and she sews like a dream, Now I'm not an "Old Machine" person, Sorry but I like the Newer machines, so after cleaning oiling and lubricating I plugged it in and WHALA beautiful purring, So I call my mom back and tell her "It Doesn't Work!!" and asked her to Listen while I put the phone close I stepped on the pedal and she purred like a Kitten!!,, Happy Birthday Mom!!!! She will Love this Machine!! I actually liked running this Machine. and who can go wrong for $15.00????

She's a pretty Good "Ole Gal" :-P :-P She has taught me SO much about quilting and sewing that every time I find something I know she would like I pick it up.

That's why I love it that my dad can fix anything. He has fixed so many machines for me. I bring him machines from my 4H girls and ones that people at church say take this to your dad for me. He loves tinkering with any small machine. That's one thing I don't like about the new computerized machines. It costs so much to have them repaired or just tuned and cleaned.

You got a great deal on her and I'm sure your mom will have lots of fun with her. Good eye! Just like anything else, you can find machines that people got and never used for whatever reason.
