Of course .. use the idea ............. though it does take a lot of yardage!
One thing I did not mention earlier .... I had the cottons in my stash and then bought the fleece in a sale when I set out to do the quilt. The white background cows I had always seen as a backing for a quilt ... so had lots of it.

Great cow fabrics!! Fun idea for one big block--really lets the fabric show. Nicely done FMQ too!

What a great idea! The fleece backing will be cozy and warm for TV viewing on these cold winter nights! I be you friends loved it, QE.

But it gives me an idea! I have some Guernsey hide flannel that would work for a backing.

Nice to see a close up of it ... it looks great! I love the way the two fabrics compliment each other, and the fleece is perfect. FMQ is looking great!!!!

And before you berate me ... I know, I know ... I've probably got some well fermented e-mails.
