I like all your quilts, but the Mario Bros are my favorite!! You could make a Luigi and a Bowser...or one of the mushroom guys (Goomba's?) or a turtle... so fun!! Please post pics when you are done!! I like your idea of using the bricks for sashing/borders...that would really tie it together! :D

Awesome! If you go to ravelry.com (a knitting & yarn website) click on the tab for contest winners. A lady on there crocheted an entire Mario balnket for her husband. It is absolutely incredible - she made it up as she went along and crocheted the whole thing in lake two months. Might give you some ideas for other blocks too!

You are doing GREAT ! Bringing back memories

Can you put Mario up and off from the mushroom, like he was jumping over it ?

Great projects, I love the "Mario" Blocks. What if you made some smaller mushrooms and a Luigi as someone said earlier and then used your giant mushroom as a center block and have M&L running around on the path with your smaller mushrooms chasing them around your big center mushroom block. Sounds like alot of planning, but based on what you have already made I know you have the talent to complete it. Keep us posted.

Great idea, and beautiful quilt blocks. Love the idea of the Mario blocks. They are really cool.
