I don't know about you all, but one of the things I love most about quilting is that it is so versatile. It allows such a range of creativity that it appeals to many tastes and styles. Here are to VERY different blocks I've made recently that are a perfect example of why I feel this way :)

For those who prefer a more traditional look :) - this will be a quilt for my in-laws

For those who prefer a more fresh, modern look :) - this will be a quilt for me

Here is what the block above looks like joined!

Great blocks, I just love that first one. I have had my eye on that one from a pattern I printed on line. I really have been thinking about doing something with that block, not sure what. The second block looks cool, How did you put that one together, and do you have a pattern? It sort of looks like the friendship star but done a little different.

Thanks! The second one is called a spiderweb block - I used the tutorial found here:

Such good choices...I wish I could see like that when I look at the newer fabrics...maybe as I quilt longer I will see different looks...good job.

Both are lovely ... and remake each of those with different fabrics, and you could have them take on the opposite looks!

One thing I love about quilting is that two ppl can use the same pattern but different fabrics and get totally different looks. Great job.

I r-e-a-l-l-y like both of them. But the 2nd one is special &
different. Is the 2nd one hard to get all seams to match up?
