Hope if she didn't put her label on it that you will. It's so wonderful to know the history of a quilt and yours will surely become some heirloom and history needs to know who and when this was made.

I understand how you feel. My grandmother (born in 1900) was a wonderful quilter and I cherish the quilts that she finished. I have one made by her mother, too. It has a very special meaning as I was lucky enough to know her for a few years as well before she passed. Thanks for sharing~~~it is a beautiful quilt.

And he has to be especially "worthy" to sleep under that beautiful quilt!! How very touching that your grandmother did this for you while thinking about your future. What love and warmth!
I am being courted right now... he just has to prove himself financially worthy to my dad. :D

Gorgeous quilt! The importance of quilting is leaving a legacy (for those who pass down the talent) and leaving an heirloom (tangeble quilt) for your loved ones. It's like we can be with our loved ones long after we leave this earth. And they in turn, will always remember us. You'll always have your grandmother, and I'll bet you've got her talents as well!
Kind Regards,

Beautiful quilt. And, thank you for the story on why you started quilting. Your Grandmother will always be with you - when you quilt and when you use her wonderful wedding gift. Enjoy!
