Thanks! That's just what I had in mind--only with about 1/3 the lines.

I don't think I want a border...I'll just do a binding in the green in the photo. Maybe for quilting I'll just follow the wave and echo from there. Other ideas? I'm very nervous about quilting it. I'd rather have a long armer stretch it out.
OMGOSH~~~OMGOSH~~~the colors are so soothing to the brain !! Prettiest I've seen !!
Can't wait to see this baby quilted.

After seeing this, I ordered two bargello quilt books! This is just gorgeous. I want to try one of these. I think your idea of doing a wallhanging first is a good way to try it out. Really beautiful fabric and color choices.

So soothing, very very pretty. If I laid down on this quilt to nap I would never be able to go to sleep for looking at the fabrics. I love your taste and the choices you make in your quilts. Love it

Well, I did a twisty one first...this one was MUCH less complicated. The trouble with the wall hanging size is the rows get very very small--they were cut 3/4" with the twist. I do not like skinny strips. In that sense, a bigger quilt would be easier.

I suggest this pattern for anyone's first Bargello!! Remember, the hardest part is choosing colors!
