After seeing this, I ordered two bargello quilt books! This is just gorgeous. I want to try one of these. I think your idea of doing a wallhanging first is a good way to try it out. Really beautiful fabric and color choices.

I suggest this pattern for anyone's first Bargello!! Remember, the hardest part is choosing colors!
