I love your French Braid quilt. the French Braid always reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright's architecture style. Lovely idea also.. You are very creative.

Your window quilt is awesome. I'd like to copy your idea for our cold Minnesota winters, but would hate to take it down the rest of the year. Would it be difficult to split it so the sun could shine through some winter days or summer days? I wonder if I could use my 30+ year old drapes as backing for the sun fading problem. You have me thinking!! Beautiful!

Are French braids difficult? I am a self-taught quilter.

I'm ready to do this for winter and also as a sun block for summer. Is it backed with muslin?

All I can say is WOW! I never thought of doing a quilt for a window treatment I really like how you did that . Did you use batting for the inside or did you get that thermal fabric they have?

Stunning! Beautiful and brilliant idea. I've thought of making window quilts for my two, fairly small bedroom windows, with double batting, to keep out light while I sleep. I work night shift. I just hate to do the work and then it fades from the sun.

Your window is beautiful. I have used them for years now. We live in an older home and I had to come up with something to help keep the house heat in the house.
