Obviously Ben's owner is just as proud of Ben as Eddies owner is of Eddie so you get another thread portrain commission. The cycle begins. Who'da thunk such a niche existed! Fabulous work Wendy. I think once you put the green on it will just pop!
"Who'da thunk" is right! I don't know how many of these I'll do, but people sure do seem to like them. I enjoy doing them too, and like I told my sweet neighbor lady last night, I'll only do them for people and mules I want to do them for. I'm getting a pretty decent price, but I think it's going to go up a bit after this one so it will be more worth my time. It takes at least a day to do the drawing, a day to stitch the mule head, and another day to stitch the background, and those are 8-10 hour days of hard work. Happy mule owners sure do love their mules and this is something very unique (after all, I'm making them up as I go along). I want to do our 2 mules next fall too. I need to wait until late summer when they are shedded out nicely to get some pictures to work from. I've got more ideas I want to try out too!
