Very, very pretty! I think hand piecing is a great idea if you have the patience and time. I'm having a hard time just getting pieces cut because of other things cropping up.

Fantastic hand work. I too enjoy hand piecing and hand quilting. Most of my friends (quilting or not) think I have lost my mind. You are doing a great job!

I am a big fan of blues too - what you have so far is really pretty. I envy that you have time for hand-piecing. I have neither the time nor the patience and let's not even discuss my skill level! LOL! I will look forward to seeing the finished top - it will be gorgeous!

When Thomas Edison invented the light bulb, he tried over 2000 experiments before he got it to work. A young reporter asked him how it felt to fail so many times. He said, "I never failed once. I invented the light bulb. It just happened to be a 2000 step process."

It's very pretty. I had to concentrate to see the stars. To me tumbling blocks jumped out. I love how it can be either one.

That is lovely. The blue looks so cool and fresh against the white.

The placement of these blocks give it more of a 3D effect. when I look at it, I see the tumbling blocks pattern instead of the stars. You have created a wonderful optical ollusion with this. I love it. You are doing a super job. I too, hand piece and can appreciate the time and effort put into it. Keep going. I'd love to see the finished product.

I can see your seams in the white. You are really precise with your hand stitching. Very, very pretty. I love hand piecing.

I love it!!! I don't usually hand piece, but have found it much easier to be accurate when piecing those diamonds to hand piece them. But I only did a table topper. Maybe one day I'll do a whole quilt. I really like your blues and white contrast. So restful.

I have seen this pattern before, but can't remember the name of it. I am trying to figure out a pattern for my son. I wanted to make a circle quilt but he does not want that. I think he would really like this one though. Thanks. I love the blue and white. could you tell me the name of it? thanks

That will be one quilt to be really proud of. You are doing amazing and I don't blame you for handpiecing this pattern. Show us the finished project!

Oh, I love the 3 dimention quality this pattern has!!! I see stars, then just as quickly, it turns into tumbling blocks and then back again! Majic, I can't wait to see it as a full quilt.
