I'd say that you made very good use of your time, spending time with your DGD, spending time on a lake and quilting too. It doesn't get much better than that.

Taking kids to the lake-priceless
getting time to work on a quilt-good payback.

How fun! The kids look like they are having a ball, I bet the group kept you on your toes - I can see it, swimming and eating, swimming and eating! I'm surprised you had a chance to sew at all! Like what you have so far, can't wait to see the finished quilt.

Oh yes--please do. My grands love to play in Gma's scraps (we have 5 GD 3 to 10). 9 yo old and I will be sewing a pillowcase for a 4-H project on Wednesday. Later in the month will be working with the 8 yo so we can sew together too.
