I think I would put a pieced block - a fairly simple pieced block - in with the butterflies. I love the butterflies!

Be easy on yourself! You've already done 30! Alternate these 30 with a 9 patch or plain blocks, a snowball block or anything simple and it'll look great! A snowball block would look great alternated and using the butterfly fabrics in the corners! :-D :-D ;) Very nicely done so far!!!

I am so inexperienced that I don't know what to suggest, but I love what you have so far!

How many more squares do you need? You could make it to fit the top of the bed and then put a flowered border on it....or a fabric with butterflies in it!
I also think a nine patch with the fabrics you have used in the backgrounds would be pretty!:-D

Those butterflies are so pretty. Great job. I think plain blocks between the butterfly blocks would be pretty. I would quilt a girlie motif on the plain blocks.

Those are really pretty! I think blank squares would look great.

I would put in the plain squares and then quilt a butterfly in each one. ;)

I never thought of all the suggestions you all have given. This is why this board is so great. It's like having an extra creative brain cell to work with. Thank you all for the help. I will post WIP pictures soon with the block in between the butterflies and I think I have plenty butterflies now to make a large bed quilt for my GD.

Thanks again for all the wonderful suggestions.

I think adding sashing would only draw your eye to the butterflies. The sashing would indeed make a frame for each block. It is bery colorful. She'll love it a lot.
