Great quilt! Good that you repaired his old one as it is an old friend. " Make new friends but keep the old, one is silver and the other gold."

Very nice quilt and I am sure your grandson will love it. How nice that you could use some of your stash.

Great job ... perfect colours and subject matter for a man-quilt.

Hope you are still going to repair his old/used one as obviously he wants to keep it.
Maybe give it to him when before you give him the new quilt ... and then surprise him with the new one.

Great quilt, Rose. And as mentioned by QuiltE, colors and fabrics are perfect for a man-quilt!

Clearly he has appreciated the work and your gift so guaranteed a new one will get as much use.
