Hi,

the name of this pattern is "Birdwalk", and you can find it in a book titled "Layers of Charm". You can find it on: www.minnesotacharms.com There are 14 patterns in the book and I just did another one of the patterns for myself. Really quick and easy to do!!

Your son has a flair for coordinating colors. It is a striking quilt along with being a very masculine quilt. However, I believe SID would not compliment his excellent choices. Either what nativetexan suggests or light meandering could be better. Belles

Me too -- I like the simple cross hatch. However, ask your son if he has a preference as he might like more of a pattern.

I have no idea how it should be quilted.... I just wanted to say that I love it and the colours are just right for the male of the species!

I think it does need a little more than a stitch in a ditch.
I think so as well. If you use a taupe or neutral color 50wt thread it will pretty much blend in.
It's a really pretty quilt!! Er, I mean handsome! What is the name of the pattern please?

First gorgeous quilt! Second I think whatever you do will look great as long as it's a simple design.

Check the label on the batting, and let that be your guide, and go for it. :-)
