Funny you mentioned doing a sofa quilt for yourself. I'm just beginning to gather fabrics for the same. I've made quilts for everybody in the family as well as friends, but never one for myself. Well, I too will soon have one of mine for me! Love your color and fabric choices. Thanks for sharing.

I live in a rent house with turquoisish carpet and my furniture is earth tones, so I can the fabrics and colors you chose are splendid and would work well in my home. I love the simplicity of the quilt pattern as well. Great job.

so pretty! and even better, knowing it's for your own couch! the colors are lovely, and that backing really dresses it up.

i remember when quillows were the new rage, i made them for friends, kids, family--and one night, my hubby came up to my sewing area, and wistfully noted, "i don't have one, yet..." my heart just fell, so the next one was his, along with a couple of small pillows. he used them in his van and motor home for years. (now he's no longer able to travel, so i'm glad i did it while i could!) and now his new quilt will be the next one off the machine...

Yes, the backing fabric is from JoAnn's, this is one of the fabrics in a quilt I made for my granddaughter, she loved it!
