    There is no signature.

    I've got some pre-21st century thread....and with some reproduction fabric it could look more 'original'.

    I'm finishing it for the friend that was with me when I found it. She has a guest room that needs it.

    It's beautiful! I would cut the red border down to get past the damage and add another border to it to frame it.

    That is quite a find! I think it should be out being enjoyed too. You can sometimes find true vintage fabric on ebay if you want to match the era of the fabrics. BUT, I don't care what quilt "historians" say. Old quilts don't become new just because you replace a border or use thread made in the last 60 years.
