Well, I bought this from the woman who made it. She had other bigger quilts for $5. She said she was tired of looking at them and this one was in the best shape..they had definitely been used and they were just all thrown in a box all wadded up. I didn't feel the "love" from her over her quilts, as you might think. She seemed disgusted with them really...quite sad. I just loved this little thing and couldn't pass it up. I was going to buy more of them, but then I remembered the many antique quilts I have from my great-grandmother in my closet...sigh.
I just wasn't sure about the stitching, but I only plan on hanging it up. I will however replace the binding, as it is some kind of poly/ vinyl feeling stuff. It's very transparent and you can see the quilt edges through it-reminds me of very thin flag fabric. Hopefully, I will find some 30's fabric to bind it with, or something complimentary, but simple.
Thanks for your input and suggestions, as always :)

The iron doesn't quickly get hot, but she does get there..lol. I just thought it was cute and hopefully functional. I need to really test it out, but I have so many "half" projects going..sigh.
