    I normally just "eyeball" or fold snowball corners, but this one I had to actually draw the diagonal lines to make them perfect. But paper piecing would work, too, I've never paper pieced.

    Thanks for all the comments, everyone! I sent him the picture and he loves it! His decor is Asian-y (masculine sparce), so it'll look good in his house and on his sofa.
