I took a picture of my pastor's tie yesterday. Would make a great looking quilt. Could be done with a log cabin pattern and some surgical color placement...

I drove my sister crazy on one vacation when she innocently asked a quilt pattern question and I started pointing out possible patterns the rest of the trip!

Yep. Earlier this summer I was invited to a 31 party that a church friend was hosting. 31 sells purses and other bags and is known for personalizing most every item they sell. They do parties much like Pampered Chef, Tupperware, or Mary Kay. The sales consultant (or whatever 31 calls them) had set up her display on a folding table. To make the display look nicer, my friend supplied an old yellow & white quilt to use as a table cloth. The first thing my eye was drawn to was the quilt. I had to check it out before I could check out any of the bags

I'm forever seeing quilts on TV, in tiling, in magazines. Whew.

I do the same thing in tv shows. I see quilts hung on the wall or throw over the couch in a scene and think I wish they would show the quilt better.
My "quilt" story. I was in Advance Auto picking up a battery and had to wait. I guy walks in, I turn to the woman at the counter and say. I like his shirt it would look great in a quilt. Needless to say she looked at me like I was nuts.
