The star, when finished is about 10 inches, so that makes this much easier to put together.

i'm heading back to the basement to keep working on it - thanks for all your wisdom!!

The only name I've ever seen is 6 point star- and your work is fabulous!!!!!!!!!!!! :D:D

Yep.. many names.. and the placement makes 7 Sisters design. It starts life as 6 pointed hexagon star.

Sorry, can't help identify, but I love it! Have made those stars before but was just playing around, didn't ever make into quilt.

I know it as LeMoyne Star. I used it in the Bethlehem Star quilt I finished a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful work!! I like the scrappy look!!! :thumbup:
