I would try looking at it with sashing (black) before going further. I think you have a beautiful quilt there regardless of what you do. I think the black sashing would make it very dramatic and I'm all for the drama.

They're beautiful and I'm not a batik person! I would definately put something between them. Personally...I'd prefer something dark (black) but that's just me.

To sash or not to sash that is the question. My opinion on this pattern....if you want just the colors to stand out, sash it. But if you want the pattern created from the four corners coming together making a circle. Leave it just as it is. Put your blocks closer together to see the pattern, then you can decide. I love batik', just ordered more today, hope they come in on a day DH works. LOL

I'd have to play with the colors and the layout a bit more. Its really just a question of your own preference. I think a black sashing would make those beautiful batiks really pop...but you will loose the secondary pattern. I'd have to play with that pattern before I abandoned it for sashing. Do you have some fabric that you can play with on your design wall?

My thoughts also, but I do like without sashing too. I guess the final decision will have to be yours.

Sashing or not it is going to be beautiful. Love it. BTW I like it without sashing.
