    The 22nd Anniversary Issue of the Quilter magazine had an article on zen quilts. Looks like fun. Im going to try it.

    I used to doodle similar to the examples on this page but had no idea it was known as 'zen tangling' or 'zen doodling'! Have not done this in a while. Nice pics everyone!

    I needed a luggage tag sooooo, naturaly I made one...Do you all remember "Shrinky Dinks" ? Well, they now sell it to go through the printer, white sheets...anyhoo....I used a piece and "zendoodled" a design, then shrunk it.....then clear coated it...I layed the spray on a little heavy so the thick black lines would "bleed" and give a little color...I really like the way it turned out...

    thanks, I don't know which was more fun,,,the doodling or watching the thing shrink in the oven.....lol

    it helps to iron the fabric to freezer paper to stabilize it.... :)

    i did it in the 70's, in high school..it was just doodling with style then!
