Hi All! Just wanted to post that Thursday, May 12 is Fibromyalgia Awareness Day. I am on a quest to have as many people wear purple this day as possible to help raise awareness. I suffer with it everyday but am determined to win the battle (some would say I'm to stubborn to not win :lol: ).

This disease was once believed to be all in the persons head or a catch all diagnosis when they didn't know what else to call it. A lot of research has been done and now doctors understand that it is a 'real' medical condition and are treating it as such. I see several doctors to help control mine and work with it everday.

Thanks to all who can participate in the wearing purple on May 12th!!

I too am a fibromite and support a cure/treatment! I won't be going out of the house tomorrow but I've sent messages to Congress in support of the issue.

I didn't know there was a Fibromyalgia Awareness Day!!!! I will certainly wear purple. It's sad that not many people will know why. I know the medical profession has come a long way to knowing out to diagnose and treat Fibro altough sometimes it still feels like they just treat the symptons.

We must continue research and education!!

everyday I get up and can't walk upright, or my legs burn, or everything just hurts... it is fibro "awareness day"..... I will wear purple for sure!

I will also be wearing purple!! Some days it is a killer pain in the ___!!
