Does anyone quilt too much and then find themselves tired of quilting...burned out? Or is it just me?
|
Happens to me too. I usually trade off projects to keep from getting burned out.

Yes. More so in the past 2 years. Maybe there just aren't any more quilts in me. When I finish the 4 I'm working on, I'm going to stop for a while. I'm even donating most of my fabrics and books to our Parish fundraiser rummage sale, and considering selling 3 of my machines. I must really be in a funk.

It happens to me every now and then. That's why I have a few different types of projects going on at a time.

I dropped out for 10 years.

Not me. I may take a couple of days off once in a while, but give it up--never!!! Hope you get your joy of quilting back.

I'm there right now. I have a mini in the hoop that should have been finished months ago. Another mini started, sitting in pieces next to the sewing machine for the last few months.
A new grandson was born last week and I haven't even pulled fabrics or picked out a pattern for his crib quilt. Burned out, lost interest, no enthusiasm..... but not ready to give up and throw in the towel just yet.Hoping it passes and I'll be cutting, sewing and quilting again before too long. |
