Looking for Ideas
HI Everyone,
I some how became the Swap Swami person of our local Quilt Guild. Now I need to come up with simple swaps. I have a few but looking for more. this is what I have so far. 1. mug rug 2. pin cushion 3. quilt block 4. hot pad What else can I do? Thank you for the help!! |
Fat quarters, siggie blocks, needle case

How about fabric coasters? I made a lot of them out of a Thanksgiving print and use them every year. They are super easy. I found this pattern on line: http://allsorts.typepad.com/allsorts...ross_coas.html
|
table runners, table toppers, hot pads, sewing cases, pillow cases, little bags for sewing goodies, blocks, rotary cutter holder
|
A thread bag which is also a pin cushion.
|
zippered bags, place mats, card wallets, book covers, kindle covers, laptop covers, grocery bags. blocks for any of these things.
|
Ugly fabric swap is always fun; Christmas ornament (handmade); Secret Santa

If you take your own mug to the meetings, you could make lug-a-mug bags to swap. Basically it's just a little quilted draw string bag with a base, it was a free pattern years ago, not sure if there's one out there on the web now or not. This is not the pattern I used but I see they have given permission for it to be used in a guild setting. http://limestonequiltersguild.files....ept2011bom.pdf

How about tissue covers. I am making bread cloths at the moment. They are cross stitched but the baskets can be filled with little quilting items.
