Have you made this mistake??
 

I keep numerous enders by my Bernina. I have quilting over 30 years (since the mid 80s) and I never had this happen. I am trying to get my yellow Chevron quilt finished and on the last row of quilting, I just happened to turn the quilt over to inspect the back, and to my horror I saw this ender stitched to the back of the quilt. Fortunately, it was only caught on one previous thread so it was easily fixed. But it show you novice quilters that there will always be mistakes made to be fixed no matter how long you have been quilting! :)

A bother to fix - but not as bad as a cut, tear, or hole.

oh my!! I have done that once... and it was surprise glad yours was an easy fix

Always say there is not a mistake I haven't made or won't make in the future. But this is probably one since I do not use the leader/enders. Thank goodness, one less mistake to be made and I would be one to do as you mentioned.

Ooops! At least you found it prior to gifting it!You could have always said you put a little something extra into every quilt you make....! Somewhere along the way I heard that old time quilters always messed up one thing on purpose in every quilt, stating that only God is perfect...

I did that once too! A piece of scrap got caught in the quilting on the back. I didn't remove it, left it in as is. At guild's Show and Tell someone asked what the purpose of the scrap fabric was for and I said it has no purpose other then that is where it ended up. My quilt was given a big applause.

I have done that too!! Even more often I will have the excess edges of my backing fold back over itself and sewn it down with quilting stitches.
