These two Strippies are from the pattern on MaryQuilts.com . They make a nice big throw quilt, 42" x 55". These are for hospital patients, one for a man and one for a woman. :o

Thanks for sharing. I have some large chicken print fabric that I keep looking at, then don't make because I can't decide on a pattern. Love the fabric and hated to cut it up. This is the perfect solution. And its my favorite size, too! I know its supposed to be a donation pattern but I'm going to make it and donate it to "me." LOL Your quilts are lovely and will make someone very happy! Thanks for the website.

Yes, it's very rewarding... Our charity quilting group gets some of the most touching thank you letters! I love donating.

Forgot to mention what a great stashbuster this quilt is! I cut out four of them at one time and was able to use things I had in my stash for too long. As Jan mentioned, it's wonderful for large prints you don't want to cut. I usually select a large print for the widest stripes, then a smaller print or tonal for the medium stripes, then a contrasting solid for the skinny stripes. It takes me about an hour to make the top, including cutting time. Quilting... not so quick. But at least the piecing is fast.

That is a pretty quilt, and sure will be appreciated. :)
