Chaos Introspection
3 Attachment(s)
Years ago I made eight "Hole-in-the-Barn-Door" blocks. I didn't like how they turned out, and they have been sitting in my orphan-block drawer for years. I decided to make them into disappearing blocks by cutting them up and rearranging them. I liked them better that way.
I wanted to put them together in a quilt, but I needed one more block for the center. I took a "Wacky Face" class at my guild. I decided that the face I made would make a good center for my disappearing blocks. I just finished the quilt and named it Chaos Introspection. That poor girl in the middle of the quilt is trying to make sense of all the chaos surrounding her. LOL! |
The face block is very nice!

Your first quilt was nice, but the remake is fabulous.

Cool quilt! I would never have thought of cutting the original bl9cks and rearranging them that way.

What a great solution for blocks you were feeling "meh" about! I love your finish - so creative!

well done!
I used to send orphan blocks to a friend in New Hampshire, but recently I've been repourposeing them into my have a hug hearts. very satisfying :) |
I hope you put that in a show someplace for everyone to enjoy the story ( and the quilt!)

Great job Jenn and Kalama with your repurposing!!!
Jenn -- that quilt is a blue ribbon winner I suspect. I hope you enter it in a show somewhere, as Quiltmom2 suggested! |
A very creative repurposing of blocks. Your story made me smile and i love the result! You are very creative!

That is a GREAT quilt!. I love the "cut" blocks. Nice job on the center block/face too. Projects like this that feed creativity are my favorite.
