My new grandson is due in October...I just can't seem to get started on this quilt for him. I have had a heck of a time finding the fabric I want (going with a doggie theme), now the pattern I was going to use just isn't speaking to me....I keep looking at all the baby quilts that get posted....nothing is shouting make me, make me....any ideas??? My fabric has fairly large prints...HELP
attached are the materials I have so far |
If yu want simple, how about the Downy Quilts for Kids pattern? It looks good with larger prints.

How many fabrics are you working with? There are lots of patterns out there that utilize large pieces of a focus fabric - some are made especially for those fabrics that are too pretty to cut! With so many cute baby patterns out there, I know it can be hard to find one that speaks to you! - sort of like all the hundreds of cereals they have on the shelves now - who can choose just one??!

does any one have the quilt book "Wee Wonder Quilts"? I borrowed the book from a friend and copied Hearts Aplenty, but.... did I miss or lose a page??? I have page 14, 16,17, 18 & 19 anyone know what was on page 15?

Warm Wishes is a good quilt for larger images.

I posted the materials I have so far to my original post

Warm wishes would look good. Or an alternating solid block with a 4 or 9 patch block. They all look great and are very quick to make.

That dog fabric is adorable! My favorite pattern for using large prints is a strippy quilt. Here's a link.
