This one is a real doozy. It was made in the 50's/60's. My MIL gave it to me to finish, but it is awful. It's scrappy, I call it crappy, with pastels, dark plaids, cartoon fabric, some polyester even. Should I hide it away somewhere or try to salvage it? I should mention, it is in perfect condition despite it's ugliness!

Any pictures of this gem?

Wow, give us a real picture, please. Be careful, she might be watching to see what you will do with it.

Blessings,
Ruth

A good car quilt you know in the trunk in case your car dies in the winter!

If your MIL likes it, and wants it back, just close your eyes and do what she wants. How much work would be required before it could be called finished?

If it is complete and in perfect condition, quilt it... Then present it back to her, remarking how well it turned out!

here we go with a few pics. I added the turquoise border just to see how it looked...it helps a little.

actually, she gave it to me to keep! It's almost charming how crazy it is!

I was given one that was made in 1946. Looks a lot like yours. I hand quilted it and I love it. I love scrappy quilts. Enjoy it for what it is.
