how do I post photos here?
I've been ill and away so long that I've forgotten how to post photos. I seem to remember a box to click that said something like "photos" or "download photos".

Start a new thread. Write whatever you wish. Go down and click on Manage Attachments. Browse to the picture you want and select it. Then click on upload. When the name of the picture shows up in the middle of your page, you can close that page and return to your writing to save the thread.

OK, here I go.....
me again.... I have to wait until tomorrow when my husband can teach me, yet again, how to get the photos off my camera's memory card and onto a file on my computer. I don't know why I can't get the hang of these things.

BTW: If your husband is good at such things, ask him at the same time to teach you how to reduce the size of the picture you want to post. I was having trouble this week posting and it turned out that my picture was too big...

Yeah, just the question I have been asking myself for months, but didn't know how to find the answer.
Great question and thanks to all who replied.
By the way, quiltswithdogs, I am in the same boat as you, I'm always having to try to remember how to do the thing with the cameras, somehow I finally get there, but only after a long exhausting, circuitous route. Just know you are not alone.

I do it differently. I have a Photobucket account that I upload to.
When you are done writing your post, pull up your picture in your Photobucket account in another window and click on the window that says "direct". That will copy that window.
Come back to the Quilting board post and choose the little picture square from the icons above the space where you write. A box will show up that says "Insert image". Click on "Insert URL" and then click on the empty space that shows up. It will fill in with your Photobucket picture. Press enter and you're done.
Clear as mud?
