when you say missing from the link, are you referring to the daily email?

I think there is something going on with this site. Normally, when I go into the "What's new" tab I see all the threads that changed since my last visit followed by older threads. Lately, those older threads are not shown, so I don't know what the issue is - if it's the QB or on my side. I think it's the QB.

They were missing from the home page, but now they have returned. Guess they must have gone out to lunch. haha

They never disappeared from mine. It might be the browser you are using.

I’ve noticed I can only see them if I’m logged in ..... but I’m guessing that’s not the problem here.

I had trouble signing in. I hope this isn't a permanent change, too. Difficult to read.

There are still some things populating through DNS-land so I can't see or post in any topics, but

Is there any way for a user to modify the font color in the new format? The bright teal is extremely harsh to my eyes and the font itself is not very comfortable to read.

I don’t like the new format either. Can’t find anything.

I can view the threads, but the pics don't show up. I also find it harder to read than the old format.

What has happened to the board. The whole format has changed. I was able to go to "What's New" in the past & now I can't even find that. It says my private message box is 90% full & I want to delete some messages but I get an error message when I click on my private messages. What is this all about. Is this just a temporary glitch? I sure hope so.

I feel the same too. Most of the new formats are done by people in the twenties these days. You'd think someone would know the target audience of this board. This new format coloring is not working at all.

I'm hoping it's a glitch! I looked on the admin/announcement page and saw no notices there.

I don't care for the new look, but more annoying are the error messages that I keep getting.

I can't see any pictures on any posts. It just has a blue box that says "attached thumbnail". What's happened to the board? I've not made any changes on my personal computer.....no browser changes...nothing.

The new format I can live with but the colors are awful. Not pleasing at all.

There was a notice earlier today that the site was being worked on. I'm guessing it's up just enough to see a few things, and that the other stuff will show up soon.

I hadn't signed in for weeks due to being in a wrist brace (limited my computer time). I can't see any photos. There are just ? in a blue box spaced throughout the postings. Hope they get this formatted so it is navigational.

Gosh, I hope things get back to normal fast & that this is not the new format & colors.

I am using Chrome on a Mac and I too find the new format harder to read. I don't see any pictures in the Pictures forum. Very frustrating. Why did anyone feel the old format needed to be "improved"?

That light green font is unreadable
 

Just wanted to say, i know Board is being worked on... here on my end 4:20 PM EST Dec 30, half the words on the Forums are showing up pale green, its actually unreadable and makes me dizzy to look at lol Maybe its a temporary thing. take care.

Agreed. I'll be back if and when it's changed to a color that is easier on the eyes.

It seems that many sites are going for less contrast between text and background. It makes is harder to read for those with impaired vision. The next size up font would help too.

this is temporary.
the technical team has moved the board to a newer version of the software.
they can't estimate how long it will all take, but we will be offline from time to time.
there will also be brief periods when it doesn't look or act the way it's supposed to.

Will the boards look the same as they did before or do we need to get used to the new look?

I have already let them know that the new (and I think temporary) appearance is justifiably unpopular.

Ouch... fairly unreadable is true. I was headed on to post an update to my albums - but yeah, those aren't working either just yet. Growing pains, hopefully!

What happened to our dear Quilting Board? :(

I find this hard to read. The type is small, I don't always get the pictures, and I miss the main page with all the FORUMS on it. To top it off, I just had a pm from another member which has disappeared with this new look. The only way I can read it now is to read the copy that came in my email. Sorry to say there's nothing about this new look that I like, and I don't think it's just because it is changed and none of us like change. I think it's because it's all bad.

I also find the small print difficult to read. I do not see anything on the site to change the size so I guess I will have to increase the magnification on my device.
The other thing I noticed is that the discussions from the last few days have "disappeared"? I received a private message this morning from a member but it also has gone into cyberspace. In addition to this the site says that I hadn't posted since November when my last few posts were actually last night. Hopefully things will be better in the New Year.

You can increase the size of the font by holding down the CTRL button (Command on a Mac) and typing "+" (the plus symbol) until you get the size you want.

When I click on my email from quilting boarrd, the only thing I get is "page not found". Not complaining, just wanted you to know. Happy New Year.
