Question about Pinterest
I recently saw some pictures of quilts here on the 'Quilt Show' Board. I really liked them, so I "Pinned" them so I could remember them later. I hope that is OK?? One of my 'followers' has already re-pinned them. I looked through all of the Help files, but they didn't say anything about Pinterest. I just don't want anyone to be shocked if they see their own quilt on Pinterest.

I don't Pinterest but I believe some members like a PM before their pictures are pinned?

I agree with Tartan. It is only polite to send a PM (personal message) to the person who posted the photo (most likely her or his quilt) for permission.

Once a picture is posted on any site on the Internet, it is out there on the public domain and anyone can access/use it, one of the reasons not to post pictures of children.

the photographer/original poster retains copyrights.
people should not feel free to copy or use the images.
unfortunately not everybody worries about right and wrong.
sites like pintrest are proof enough of that.
