Default Site slow to enter typing on post

I'm having trouble getting my typing to enter when I reply to a post. If I type faster than about 1 letter every 2 seconds, the letter gets skipped. What setting do I need to change so I can make a reply or a post in less than 15 minutes? This short post has taken nearly 10 minutes.

Thanks, in advance for the help.

    Dave

Try clicking on the icon to the far left of the bar just above the dialog box you type in. That should help.

It may also be a product of the internet browser you are using. Some play more nicely with this site than others. I use Mozilla Firefox because of the adblocker and it works well. If you are using IE or Chrome, that might be part of the problem. Could also be a product of the device you are using...regular computer (either laptop or desktop) vs a tablet of some sort (Ipad or others).

True, NJ. I use Firefox also. I've found that it plays better with the forums I use than IE did.

Thanks to all for the tips. I have tried ALL of the above with no help. I am using IE 11. I have tried others, but don't like them and they don't like my computer either. Guess I'll just have to be patient and make sure I have LOTS of time when I make a reply.

If I am typing a long message, I do it in Notepad and then copy and paste it into the Reply Box. Works for me and I don't lose the original message in case a glitch occurs. Hope this helps.

Sometimes my computer adds letters slowly too, but not that slowly. When I type a word, I look at what I typed and I have to wait for the word to appear before I can go on. I think it is the computer that is doing that. Try to ask someone who might know or go straight to your IT man (or woman).

Click on tools in IE, and then click on "compatibility view settings" and type www.quiltingboard.com in the "add site" box and click CLOSE. Then close browser, and go back to QB.com and try it.
