    Default "threat has been detected"

The last couple days anytime I try to search out things on the quiltingboard my Avast states that a threat has been detected and closes out the site.
Just now I did an advanced search for members from Australia; the first page came up fine but when I clicked to show the 2nd page I got that message and I had to sign back on.
Any suggestions as to why this is happening?

Google "threat has been detected" and you will see LOTS of links to check out...seems to be linked to Avast. I use AVG so I did not look at the links, but maybe it will help you.

I often just reboot my computer. Happened to me yesterday but not on this site. Often it's a way for you to contact their tech aids and they try to sell you different security software

Thanks, I used AVG for years but then found it was taking up more and more room on my PC so switched to Avast. Haven't gotten the warning again since I posted...go figure!
