Rob really like your art quilt. Keep going back and looking at it. And your rocking the moratorium too!

Happylab what restraints. I will keep working on staying on the wagon with you guys.

I just keep plugging along on my five projects. Hope everyone gets to do some quilting.

To make quilts quickly, I've been using rail fence. With 3 1/2yd WOF strips, I can make a top 36 1/2" x 42 1/2". The guild comfor quilt program needs larger quilts. Most of my fabric is 1/2yd pieces. So I got creative. The layout was done on the design wall. Now that it's made, I can see how it can be done in strip sets-a lot faster. Will do this again.

Ooooooooh! Pretty peththefabric!!! Rail fence is a fun pattern to experiment with colors... I've only done this in strips but I haven't used scraps so I can see the challenge in doing this pattern in smaller pieces. 1/2 yard should do the trick with stripping.

Worked on SBS today.. 26 to go.... I am blasting through the background fabric for this project and had to pull more from stash (I had to steal WOW from a future project but I overbought so hopefully, I will still have enough)..

Nice job...ptfabric!

Teen, just keep sewing, just keep sewing...you will have them done in no time.

Put another baby quilt on the LA today...almost done. I "wrote" in the horizontal dark border, and have to turn the fabric to "write" in the other 3 borders after it was all quilted. This quilt has a central cheater block and successive borders with cornerstones. I have to remember how I quilted in the top cornerstones..they aren't the same as the bottom..all part of the learning experience! I need to find another short piece of yellow dot binding for this, if I can't then will have to dig a bit into stash to finish it off.

Hi y'all! Thank you for this thread. I took the pledge as soon as I joined and I haven't bought any fabric since then. Everything has come out of my stash! but you can't see the difference. I have enough left to make 1000 more quilts at least... enough to keep me busy for the next 50 years ... I'm only 80 yrs old now, so I have plenty of time ... LOL! I hope there are sewing machines in Heaven!

Hi Silly Susan,
I am in the same boat as you! But here is my plan. I am going to buy a camper. Dig a big hole in the back yard for the camper to fit into, so when I die, my stash, etc. plus me will go into the camper and it will be topped with dirt. I don't just want to be buried in the ground with nothing to do.

Lol!! Wonderful giggle for my day... Good plan, Blue Bell! I believe God's got our back and will likely have a LQS at our disposal.

Silly Susan.... Good job using your stash and fulfilling your commitment to yourself. I bet your stash is a blast to pilfer..

Well...today was close to a fall. Saw a beautiful laser cut applique pattern for a sailboat wallhanging kit. It was $99! But it was all cut accurately, and absolutely gorgeous, and DH’s sister just bought a sailboat in St Pete, and....

It was in my shopping cart. I was filling in the credit card number. I stopped, removed it from my cart. Bought a Hawaiian applique pattern from Etsy. I will find fabric in my stash that will work.
