Ckcowl- congratulations on both finishes! The table cloth looks great on your table and the patterns in the quilt are amazing. Good job!

Not a finish yet, but an update. I found a number of UFO's this week while cleaning out some boxes in my sewing room. I got after one of them yesterday, Friday. Pressed the top, it was a wrinkled mess, discovered that I did not need to make any additional HSTs. Went to the LQS for a backing for this UFO and small cuts of fabric for another UFO. Layered HST top, with pieced batting, and it is ready to quilt. I looked in my leftover binding bin and Ta-Da! I found binding that matched the backing. So quilt today, bind tomorrow and hopefully have a finish by Monday!

Conchalea- cute quilt, glad you were able to post the photo.

WMUTeach- sometimes finding a forgotten about UFO is a good thing! Looking forward to seeing it.

Well, that's K, who sewed the binding as well as quilted it. Thanks for her, though!

Default July UFO - finished!

I found this UFO top in a box tucked away in my sewing room last week. After some serious pressing, it was a wrinkled mess, I found it did not need to be made any bigger. Added a back and pieced batting, quilted on Saturday or was it Sunday? I found the binding in my box of binding scraps. Same fabric as the back! Ta-Da saving scraps pays off. This will be a Project Linus donation. Leaving my home along with three others later this week!
This is my July contribution to our UFO project. Don't think I can get another done by Saturday. But have one started.

Wmu- you are queen of the HSTs. Nicely done and probably *very* satisfying finish.

Conchalea: Thanks for the picture. K should be proud of her new finishing skills.

WMUTeach: Great scrappy HST quilt. I really need to take the time and match some of my triangles to use in blocks.
