Wahoo! Another top finished! 20 more blocks from my UFO which was Summer Moon by Carrie Nelson. The remaining 4 blocks will go into a scrappy quilt top.
This quilt top measures around 70” by 81” and will go into the church pile to finish someday but my part is done for now.

Retiredteacher09, congrats! Beautiful colors.
I have stalled. I'm supposed to be basting a full size quilt. And I did lay it out on the floor tonight to get started, but it's wider than my pieced backing...so the existential drama begins! Do I trim the top or add to the backing? I'm leaning toward the latter because I chose the border widths intentionally.
Also it doesn't quite fit in this spot on the floor so maybe I need to do this on my kitchen floor? (Ugh!) Or board baste it at the table?
I like big quilts, but they are a pain in the...back. Yeah, back.

Another great finish retired teacher.
entangled, yup easier to add to the backing than trim those borders. That is a sweet top and I do agree that big quilts are a pain in the ............... back. That is why when I have a large quilt that is to big to fit in my floor frame, I send it to my longarmer.

Your color choices for connecting blocks balance the quilt nicely, reT. Well done.
Great neutral colors, entangled....I'd rather add to the back...A strip of leftover fabric off set makes for an interesting back.
Count a finish for me! Many years in the making! A big quilt, too. I used 2 widths of different fabric with a 12" strip of fabric between for the backing. My binding was made of the backing trimmings and a little bit extra left over fabric. I have very little of the three fabrics left...win win. Will try to get a pic by the weekend. Working on binding another quilt so may have UFO's to take pictures of them by then.

Thank you for the compliments. I need to square up some blocks that were my leader/enders and finish up a WIP before I can move on to my next UFO.
entangled: I like that top. Good luck with your backing fabric problem.
oksewglad: I look forward to seeing your UFO or maybe your UFOs.
No sewing time for me today. I spent the day at a niece’s house helping her sons with distance learning. I worked and played mostly with the Kindergartener. It’s fun just to be involved with teaching again since I’m taking a subbing break for a while. It’s a 50 minute trip each way but priceless to be around family.
