Blueridgebeverly ~ Beautiful block! Mine is WIP and I've fussy-cut the center block, too. I would like to finish it before we leave for a short camping trip (Sunday morning), but may not be able to ... busy packing, cooking and cleaning.

Thank you sewbizgirl.

I did manage to finish my block. I worked on it during a virtual class I had signed up for. It turned out to be more like an infomercial for software I wasn't interested in. It was focused around edge-to-edge quilting with an embroidery machine.

So here's my block. I wish I had more contract in value in the center. Oh, well. That's really something I need to work on.

I'm also showing a picture of all 4 blocks so far with fabric I'm auditioning for sashing.

Your blocks look great! I really like that black speckled sashing.

DJ, I always err on the side of too many prints and not enough contrast. I'm constantly trying to improve on that! You have turned your 4patches the other direction from the pattern-- I wonder if that would make a difference in how you view it? The bird fussy cut is darling!

Did anyone get the idea that after the December block there will be instructions for setting?

This months block isn't one i have any desire to make. I found another one i decided to do. If i would have seen the one Givio suggested, i would have made that one. I'll keep it in mind if another block comes up that i don't want to do.

Blueridgebev, your block is very pretty! DJ, so is yours and the sashing fabric will look really good.

Givio, all i found was this, "Until the very end, I will not show you what the finished quilt will look like."
