The middle is assembled and I’m working on the borders today. We’ll see how much I can get done.

I’m true to history on keeping up on this mystery. At the beginning I misplaced the essential ruler and had wanted to use that technique throughout the mystery. I finally found it and now have parts 1-3 all cut out. So I’m 3-4 weeks behind. Part 1 is almost completely sewn, just need 12 more 9-patches to be completed. And all the 4-patches are sewn. Today I plan to cut out part four and sew later this week. Next week I hope to finish all the steps and have the top completed by EOM (end of month). I need the top to be quilted by mid February. I will post pics of my progress later.

Janice, I love your batik choices. I used batiks, but threw in several other FQ’s and scraps.

I love the changes in colors and all the different color ways members have used. That’s one of the things I enjoy about this thread. Back to sewing.

Janice, I love your block!
I haven't started yet, as I was very busy with Christmas projects. I've been working on a UFO the last couple of days and want to start gathering fabrics for this one. Those batiks are enticing.........

I just backpedaled and love everyone's blocks!

I was planning to make mine smaller but as I looked at the cool border I thought maybe I couldn't get that to work. Idk.

I've accomplished making and trimming all the quarter square triangles that go between the great big blocks.
Revamped part of the 9 patches
Have a plan for the great big blocks to break them up a hair. .
Coming right along!
I'm so happy to be excited every morning to quilt again. I was a bit down for 2 years.

Happylab and Susie…looking forward to seeing what you both come up with for your mystery.

Kalama…good for you that you have jump the hurtle and are enjoying quilting again. The longest I have gone without sewing was 2 weeks…lol…

I am on the last border using clue 2 pieces…finally. Lots of seam matching on inner border so just some advice….be sure to follow pressing instructions..lol…ask me how I know…. I doubt I’ll finish today but you never know. Plan on stay stitching borders before I sew on quilt. The last thing I want is for my pieces to separate on the edge… Rainy and windy so good day to spend in my sewing hive…

All done! Yah! I love the illusion of on-point setting…
