Mirabelle...I'm planning to stop at the shop where the author of that book works when I go to Wisconsin in a couple of weeks. Sure you don't want a signed copy too? I just made a 4 inch star for the center of a block and those pieces are to tiny. All of the DJ blocks that have been posted are amazing. You ladies are real craftsmen...women! Maybe someday day but for now I'm enjoying the larger blocks. Tomorrow I go to a quilt show in Amish territory in Illinois with my QBs which will include a couple of unique quilt shops and an Amish restaurant where the food is good and you can just soak up a bit of the area. We'll find a country road on the way back to enjoy glimpses from the road of a different way of living. Should be a fun day. Nothing planted yet in the garden but some cleanup, rearranging and finding places for more perennials. Spring always brings a new start!

Anael - KK is gorgeous.
mirabelle - you are doomed. When they gang up like that, there is no hope.
Oksewglad - my two kitties are short hair but it is really quite soothing when I comb them. We get to enjoy special time together and nothing beats the sound of a purring, contented kitty.

As per your request QuiltE, here are my two babies with Franky. I was playing with block placement and the kitties had their own idea of placement.

A few pages each time might be cheaper?

MiraB ... oh heck, go for it!

GGal ... oh for a fun day out with your friends!!! I have a few favourite Menno/Amish shops I like to get to peridoically ... and ooooh the food! I'm only about 1/2 hr from our main Menno/Amish areas. We did a lot of farm business with them and knew many thru the farm organizations (old order and modern) and always enjoyed interactions with them. There are now many other communities as their families grew, and needed more land they have moved to new areas. It's a good time of year for a trip ... should be able to see some out on the land with their horses! Today is market day here, so a lot of buggies would be on the road too. Now you have me wanting to do a road trip!

W4Me ... how considerate of you to have the hardwood floors for them ... they can slide to their pleasure as they sort your blocks!

Thanks LadyE ... hope that you took time to go thru the thread and see all the creativity that abounded when this group was given the challenge! It had been a fun year and lots of surprises as to what was made.
