QuiltE, you didn't fall off the face of the earth
Yes, it seems she starts to like them!

We might have to wait a bit longer for Mirabelle's DJ ............

.... almost off the edge of the earth, hanging on by the tips of my fingers!

I bet you are thrilled that DDIL is starting to like quilts.
Gosh, next thing will be that you will be teaching her to sew ..... and of course, the Grands too!

QuiltE, I tried to teach her how to sew once but in vain
She made one skirt and that was the end of her sewing career

It would be great if one of the grands wants to learn to quilt!

Nice to hear from you QuiltE, stay tuned for my reveal.

I thought I had it nailed and when I was sewing a sashing strip on it wasn't working so unpicked, resewed, still not right, then found I had 2 of my SAS units around the wrong way. SO fixed that, went to sew the last 2 rows to the rest of the quilt top and found that I still had to sew another sashing strip arrghhhh pulling my hair out by this stage.

Decided to walk away before I threw it in the cupboard never to be found again.

And to cap off a really bad week my beautiful dog had a massive stroke and passed away on Saturday so sewing has not been on my agenda for the past few days.

Thanks for listening...

MiraB ... I am so sad for you to have lost your little Prince charming. I know he was a good quilting buddy for you and you are going to miss him incredibly so.

Looks like DJ is pulling a real little hissy fit on you!
Darn her anyway, but it will be all worthwhile and soon will be be done.
Congratulations!!!

(as mine sits on the design wall in mid-stream grrrrrr)

Since some of you aren't on the PC thread any more I thought I would share my 2nd PC quilt here. Also a picture of the crazy quilt I made for my DD for her graduation present.

Carriem you quilts are beautiful. I especially love the PC and it looks right at home on the sofa bed.

Thank you for all your kind words, I have been hiding in my sewing room trying to focus on other stuff.

So here is my reveal, I made 88 blocks, I think I would have made more if I had NOT made the SAS sashings as they were what really slowed me down on this project. I can't remember when I started this but it has definitely been long term. Final measurements are 67 x 81 inches

Thank you to everyone for all your encouragement as there were times when I thought I would never finish this quilt.

I have also just rang my LQS and it is going to be quilted Thursday week.
