Giant Scrappy Swoon Quilt Along
#572

You should Dorothy. It's just 3 1/2" blocks. That's all. You just need a lot of scraps or stash. I'm actually worried about weather I will have enough or not. Apparently, I thought my stash was bigger then I thought. But, I am really enjoying the whole process of this quilt. Taking my time and really being in the moment. I guess the rest will sort itself out.

How beautiful! The orange and green are so great together!
I have been playing around with some strategies. I'm not liking the huge contrast between the caramel charm pack. I should have picked and chose squares, so I might unsew them and redo that. I might use tea to dye it. I'm not sure.
As for the grey, I found a couple of charm packs in grey (licorice). I like the alternate black and dark grey fabric squares I found, though.
I'm not sure which I'll use. There's too much contrast for me to combine the black and grey. I had a baby quilt to finish and had a bias binding fiasco. Haha. I barely have any hair left!

amcatanzaro, I like the pink you've got going here and there in various squares. I felt exactly the same with my Swoon-- the contrast seemed to show up better in the picture than in real life. It's a learning process. Maybe if I make another I'll be more pleased with the result. Just the same, I like the one I'm working on too... You will probably end up liking yours too. :-) There's a lot of pattern in your prints. It gives a lot to look at.

Finally a finished top! I haven't cleaned it up yet or pressed it fully but I couldn't wait to show this scrappy swoon top done, or as done as it can get tonight. Were I to do another, I'd make some changes but overall, I'm satisfied. Thanks for looking.
