Toverly….your quilt is fabulous! Wonderfully bright and so well done. Love the border..ties everything in and makes the details of blocks really stand out…super job! Hope your father-in-law recovers quickly.
I have seen some amazing blocks and colorways by others.
Dotty…hope your surgery gets sorted soon for you and you can begin the recovery process. Must be agony waiting…
I’ve been neglectful of this project but I have many of the blocks cut and are ready. I didn’t sew hardly anything but small projects the past month. I had guests arrive one after the other and made small gifts for each…did some painting projects so I could finally enjoy the outside weather. I’ll get this baby done…I always do…lol..

Thanks Teen, My father in law is doing great. He had the antibody treatment on Friday and today seems back to himself. Considering he has almost every preexisting condition that they warn against, he did pretty well. He is vaccinated and this was a breakthru case. We are feeling lucky.

This summer with the remodeling project, my sewing got put on hold. I've finally started sewing again, but will be gone on two weeks vacation, and then when I get back I want to get back into working on my HJ project.

I've decided on a setting and am now making alternate blocks to go between my HJ blocks. I'll have a few left over blocks, but they can go on the back. I think the center will be 66" x 66" and then there will be a thin pink border and a wider outside border. It's looking very pretty so far.

I just put the final border on my Harriet's Journey. It now measures 78" x 78". I'm not sure what I will bind it in, but it will be going to the long armer in a few days, so I have time to decide. Will post a photo of the finished quilt when it's done. This has been a fun BOM!
