Jen Kingwell blocks and finished quilts

Thank you Judith!
Isn't it weird you often only notice mistakes after taking a picture? And we're lucky I guess. Imagine you notice a mistake after you quilted it......
I didn't turn it yet, I need to go groceries shopping and vacuum the house. So maybe tonight or tomorrow but it will be turned!

Really you need to vacuum! Ha Ha she laughs maniacally!
You've got to quit showing this wonderful progress...you are only making me want to drop everything and make this quilt!
Seriously, I am on a different mission. Many of you have heard of the devastation that has happened in Nebraska, our neighbor state to the west affecting many farm families (as well as others). As an old farmer myself I have been compelled to help, so have been sewing quilts to be given to farm families touched by the tragedy...I have a farm contact that I will be sending them to. Meanwhile the area is getting blizzard conditions now.
At this point I have 3 quilts done, one that just needs binding and working on a big block queen size now. I'm using from stash so actually have spent more time figuring out if I have enough fabric than sewing. Now time to get back to it...coffee pot's empty!

I've seen pictures of this devastation on Facebook OK! It's beyond my imagination what's happening!
Make more coffee and if you need fabric, I can send you some.
My stepdad was a farmer too!
I did vacuum today
Only downstairs, upstairs the dust bunnies are still multiplying

Anael.....this is turning out so awesome. There are some cool and unique blocks in this design. I like the square in square with the HST. Wonderful job!!
OK...you've a kind heart. We are tracking storm and watching news on this storm...unbelievable this late in season. Prayers lifted.

Anael, you have a churn dash on the left that has an upside down birdie in it. Did you mean it to be that way.
And, your tall building with lots of windows, The one with the striped door, that reminds me of those buildings with a waterfall attached to the side of the wall. Very color and cute.
But, my favorite so far is the patchwork building with the tree next to it. It's perfect because it is the only building like that so far. It stands out just enough. And, that's what I think will happen with your Ohio Stars blocks also.
I so want this pattern. It looks like so much fun!!

Nooooooooooooooo now I have to rip two blocks !!!!! The birdie shouldn't be upside down. Thank you - I guess
The patchwork building is a fun one, the fabric is like that. I just cut the size of the building and voila, finished LOL. I won't use that fabric again in this quilt.

I admire that Jen Kingwell can create a pattern she envisions and then make it her own. And, then make a pattern for all of us.
I also love, love, love Macybaby's My Small World also. Lots of pre-thought placement of fabric and personalization going on in hers too.
That will be to my benefit when I finally get around to making my own My Small World. I will be able to be inspired by all the personal touches that I love that have come before me. And, I can tell ya, I am lovin' on those Ohio Stars.

Found Macy's World again: post # 66. She did a wonderful job on her World!
On the upside down birdie: one of my Facebook friends just told me her son has a bird and he's hanging upside down all the time. So I might decide the birdie stays upside down
I still have to turn the Ohio piece though!

Judith, when you ever make your own Small World, pay attention to the actual measurements of some parts and the drawings in the book. They don't always match which is very confusing. A picture of a finished quilt will be very helpful!
