I used fat quarters of Asian fabrics and fairy frost for the background so chose one of her alternate block settings. Quilting pattern is trailing ginko leaves. The back is an Alexander Henry print that found me when I walked into my LQS. Only one more holiday gift quilt to bind and I'm done for the year with UFO's. Going to be too busy working on the Grand Illusion mystery quilt through the end of the year to work on any more from my list. Only two more to finish and my list of 12 UFO's will be history....yea!!!

I love that pattern and made baby quilts out of scraps and FQs for my youngest two. I like how you made it with Asian fabrics and the fabric on the back is stunning. Yummy quilt!

Princess: I've said it before but I just don't understand how such beautiful quilts get left unfinished. Congrats on the finish of such gorgeous quilts.

Well, I'm a newbie around here, but I'd like to post a finish. :) I started this one about, oh, 10 or 11 years ago. It's been sitting around for at least 3 only in need of binding. Hand quilted in rows and then sewed the finished rows together by hand as well. My grandma taught me how to quilt and she did hers entirely by hand. I at least used the machine to piece mine. My current project is a table runner midway through being quilted (hope to finish this weekend) and two PIGS to start soon. One a 'Paris' quilt for my 3 year old niece and one for my hubby and I (finally, one for me). Anyway, here is my 10 year UFO done! Tonight, it's getting washed, and tomorrow, shipped off to mom.

Quilter: Beautiful quilt. Long time in the making but worth the wait.

Welcome HuskyQuilter...that's a great finish! Thanks for sharing. :)

I got a quilt done today too. It is a Disappearing 9-Patch made with a charm pack. The backing was pieced from extra border fabric. It was started in 2010 and was a flimsy until Thanksgiving 2013 when I sandwiched it (Mom has a big living room to lay things out in)...decided it was finally time to quilt it this week, so now it is all done!

DD helped me sandwich another quilt today (flimsy made in March 2014, so not too "old") and it is about 1/4 quilted...I am afraid my shoulder is going to mad at me, but it sure is nice to finish some of these quilt tops!

Carrie: Great finish, love the way you pieced your back to go with the front.

Great finishes for the last month of the year. I just may be able to post two finishes by end of the month if I can get the binding sewn on both of them by then. Hard to do much on quilting with all the holiday festivities going on but I sure admire those of you who carry on! :-)
