Thanks Lisa,

The smallest one is coaster sized.

The two that have straight line quilting and funky angled edges started out to be potholders 5 years ago, but I had a brain fart and forgot to add the insulbright before quilting them, not to mention that all that close quilting would have made them not very good at protecting against burns, which is why they sat on the UFO pile for so long, now I like to think of them as overly large coasters, or smallish table protectors LOL.

The larger one is a 17.5" square dresden block that I pieced pieced as part of Amy Gibson's 2012 block of the month over on Craftsy, and then decided I didn't like the fabrics I'd chosen so it ended up on the UFO pile in Dec. of 2012-- I'm thinking I'll use it as a table topper :D.

Rob

Larger than a coaster; smaller than a tabletopper; = mugrug!!
Great finishes Rob

The tumbler quilt is done. I started it last year for the Bonnie Hunter leader/ender challenge. Civil war reproduction prints (lots and lots of them), each one of them is such a treasure. Thank you for the compliments and the encouragement to get this done. :)

Fraew that tumbler quilt is gorgeous. It looks like an heirloom. Beautiful!

When my mom passed away 10 years ago I acquired some of her crewel embroidery projects. I intended to make them into wallhangings for each of my three nieces as a Christmas gift one year. Well, that year was going to be 2016 - however, I couldn't find the embroidery pieces. When I looked through one of my decorative boxes that holds a lot of different projects to be finished, lo and behold, I discovered the embroidery! This was the weekend before Christmas so I had to work fast - put a simple border on all three and quilted them, finishing them in time for
Christmas. My nieces were thrilled to receive something lovingly stitched by their beloved Grandma and finished by their Auntie. Three more UFO's off my long list.:-)

My company just left, so I am trying to catch up with this thread:

Fraew- Your tumbler quilt is amazing. The civil war prints are so pretty. I did a 1/4 of a lap blanket in 2.5 tumblers and was sick of tumblers before I finished. The perseverance to finish a king size is quite the accomplishment.
SheriR- Your alphabet blocks quilt is great. Love the baptist fans. That is my next quilting design to tackle so it encouraging to see both yours and Fraew's work.
Quiltermama-The crocheted piece is gorgeous. Must feel great to finish it after 20 years.
Janitabean-Love seeing the rest of your UFOs. I love all of your table runners.
Rob-Four more at the end! Your coasters/table toppers are great. I love the micro quilting on the first one. Do you use variegated thread for the quilting? Your color choices are always inspire me to take more risks with color.
Glojean-Love the three embroidered wall hangings made by your Mom. Brilliant Christmas present idea for your nieces. Love how you quilted each one differently.
