Welcome grammasharon.....

Grammasharon welcome!

Connie you have been busy! What wonderful blankets! And stash reduction.

Leta you really did restrain yourself and it sounds like you had a great time too.

Well after my slip from the wagon and almost at half way point for the month I have been been very good. 1/2 yard that I needed for a project I'm working on (so doesn't count) but nothing else.

Leta, the backing doesn't count and at that price it was a steal. Good for you on resisting the siren call.

I decided AGAINST purchasing the paisleys. There will always be paisleys.

I just counted fabric in/out....I've bought 12 1/4 yards in and have used 13 1/4 yards for a net loss of a yard. Unfortunately that did not count the 2 bags of small scraps I got from a friend. But I did get a mini flimsy (9 x 12) made from a few of the scraps now to finish it...any suggestions on how to quilt it.

OK, Swirls. :-)
MadQuilter, can you post a photo of the 25 FQ quilt? Or the name of it, to google it to see some pictures of it? I'd like a FQ friendly project!

Swirls all over, givio? Thanks.

I found it in the Fons and Porter Winter 2016 Fat Quarter Quilts magazine called Sprigs and Twigs. It's basically a court-house step block with a bright 9-patch center and strips of darks around it. The original quilt uses 16 FQs for a 4x4 layout. I prefer mine to be longer so I am most likely going for 5x6 layout which will make mine more random. I am using 5 each of blue, green, purple, pinky red, tan/brown, and yellow/ochre. Have the piles on the ironing board and they seem to play nicely with each othe

oksoglad that is beautiful. What a great use for scraps. What a pretty baby quilt that would make.

That's lovely ok though I have no suggestion to quilting it!

I'm a little late to the party, but please count me in on the 2017 Moratorium ... excluding Easter weekend, when three of us are traveling to Paducah to visit the museum and shop at Hancocks of Paducah and Quilt in a Day!

Other than that splurge, I will be more than happy to "shop my stash" first for all projects.
